The Department of Zoology at Career College Autonomous Bhopal currently offers two courses: B. Sc. Zoology (Hons. & Hons with Research) and M.Sc. Zoology (One year & Two year programme). In addition to teaching these courses, the department provides various specialization & Certificate course. like Wildlife Conservation ,Ethology, Fish and Fisheries.Cytogenetics etc.
The department has well-equipped laboratories, a modern museum, and a departmental library with a strong collection of books that complements the college library.

There are two advanced research laboratories where students can enroll for a Ph.D., work on master's dissertations, and participate in undergraduate Internships. The dedicated faculty, with diverse areas of expertise, work hard to share knowledge and foster a scientific culture among students. To support the bright students in our programs, the faculty are eager to improve their research skills and academic abilities through regular training programs. Students are encouraged to take part in internships, workshops, conferences, and poster presentations. They also have opportunities to publish research articles and book chapters. By using a blended teaching method, we focus on active learning  strategies such as group discussions, subject presentations, field-based research projects, and additional experiments. Students visit leading institutes in related fields and go on excursions for practical learning beyond the classroom. The department organizes various academic and extracurricular activities
throughout the year to promote the overall development of students.
