A lecture on water sanitation and hygeine was organized by Department of Microbiology on 17/10/2021. The expert for the lecture was Dr. Reena Antony, Career College, Bhopal. The main information imparted to students was on Health risks that may arise from consumption of water, contaminated with infectious agents, toxic chemicals, and radiological hazards. Contaminated water and poor sanitation are linked to transmission of diseases such as cholera, diarrhoea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid, and polio. Absent, inadequate, or inappropriately managed water and sanitation services expose individuals to preventable health risks.
