Waterborne disease resembles diseases resulting from contamination of water and can be caused by pathogens. Today we are realizing that waterborne diseases are responsible for many different types of illnesses—including respiratory illnesses, neurological illnesses, skin problems, gastrointestinal illnesses, and bloodstream infections. Department of Microbiology organized a poster competition on World Water Day on 23rd March 2023 for M.Sc. and B.Sc Microbiology students. The topic of the poster was “Water borne diseases and their control”. Students participated enthusiastically and a total of 32 students participated in the event.
