National Space Day

The Department of Physical Science at Career College Autonomous Bhopal celebrated National Space Day on August 23, 2024, marking one year since the Chandrayaan-3 mission’s successful lunar landing. This event recognized India’s achievements in space exploration and aimed to inspire students in STEM fields.

The celebration began with a welcome address from Dr.Charanjit Kaur, Principal of Career College. She highlighted the successful landing of the Vikram Lander on the moon, making India the fourth country to land on the moon and the first to land near the southern polar region. The Vikram Lander, along with the Pragyaan Rover, achieved a major milestone for India’s space program.

Following Dr.CharanjitKaur madam’s speech, a student shared the story of the scientists’ hard work behind the mission’s success. To enhance the experience, we streamed a YouTube video of the Chandrayaan-3 mission’s soft-landing live, allowing students to relive the historic moment.

Professor Swarna Sinha, Head of the Department, also extended her best wishes to the students for their enthusiastic participation. The event was attended by all the professors and students from the department, making it a memorable and motivating occasion.
