Career College, Bhopal, the first and only E-YUVA Centre in Central India for Young Budding Innovators
An E-YUVA Centre has been established in the Career College, Bhopal by Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), an organization of Government of India.
The Department of Biotechnology, Government of India has organised a two-day Biotech Start-up Expo, 2022 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi to mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of BIRAC. Career College was specially invited on this occasion. The expo was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. On this occasion, the Prime Minister, while congratulating all the institutions, exhorted that India will play an important role in the biotech sector in the next 25 years, in which the progressive start-up of E-YUVA Centre will make an important contribution. Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh also outlined the policy of the Government of India to encourage start-ups.
Project Coordinator of E-YUVA Centre, Career College, Bhopal Dr Preeti Chandurkar and Project Assistant Ms. Megha Budholia represented Bhopal in this expo. Mr. Swatantra Kumar Singh, Director, MP State Policy and Planning Commission appreciated various research works like Bio-fertilizer formulation, Plant based meat, Ginger wine preparation, Herbal products making etc. of Career College.
Country's reputed biotech companies Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL), New Delhi, Department of Science and Technology, Gujarat, Research Centre for Biotechnology, Faridabad, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, NIPER Guwahati obtained information about Biotechnology activities of Career College, so as to ink MoU. Chairman, Career College, Vishnu Rajoria and Vice Chairman Manish Rajoria said that Career College has established a well equipped lab with modern Biotechnology equipments for young start-ups so that these young entrepreneurs can research and bring new products in the market.
The Biotech Start-up Expo was attended by over 300 exhibitors showcasing the applications of biotechnology in various disciplines including health, agriculture, innovative technology, Biopharma, industrial biotechnology, waste to wealth. Also, this programme was appreciated by more than 2500 Biotechnology stake holders including senior officials of Central and State Ministries, SMEs, Bio-clusters, Research Institutes, Start-ups Entrepreneurs, NGOs. More than 10,000 attendees participated in the expo making this mega event a grand success.
